OptraSCAN’s Cytoplasm Algorithm helps distinguish between the staining of two or more sub cellular compartments. Cytoplasmic proteins could be a mixture of various monoclonal antibodies, each of which could have the ability to detect specific high and low molecular weights. By combining these reagents, a single reagent with a broad spectrum of reactivity against both high and low molecular weight proteins could be obtained. In cancerous tissues, sub cellular localization of these proteins may be altered. OptraSCAN’s cytoplasm algorithm could thereby evaluate the respective nuclear cytoplasmic localization in order to gain further cellular insights.
