Abhi is a well accomplished and results oriented healthcare and life sciences business leader with strong experience in Research, Product design and commercialization, Custom Software development, business eco systems development, Angel and Venture Investments, Sales and marketing, and building start-ups. Abhi has over 13 international patents to his credits. His experience includes Products, Medical Devices, BioInformatics Systems, BigData Analytics, Connected Devices and IoT, Visualization and Prediction, Machine Learning, Cancer Diagnostics and Image Informatics. Prior to founding OPTRA Group of companies, he was the founder of BioImagene, a digital pathology company that acquired Scimagix Inc., (2004) and Tissue Informatics Inc. (2006), before BioImagene was acquired by Roche Diagnostics for $100mn. Previously, Abhijeet was employed by TCS, Cedartech, and Siemens Medical Systems. Abhi is alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Mumbai with specialization in Biomedical Engineering. Abhi strongly believes in innovation and nurtures an entrepreneurial spirit in society at large. Abhi is charter member of TiE Silicon Valley and chairs Digital Healthcare SIG. He is also an honorary medical advisory member at Frost & Sullivan.

Professor Clive Taylor attended medical school at the University of Cambridge and completed his doctoral studies in Immunology at Oxford prior to accepting an appointment at University of Southern California where he served as Chair of the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine for 25 years, and Dean for Educational Affairs for 10 years. Dr. Taylor is a Fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists (U.K), a Diplomat of the American Board of Pathology, a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (Ireland), and the Royal Society of Medicine. He was elected President of the U.S. Association of Pathology Chairs from 1996 – 1999, President of the U.S. Biological Stain Commission from 1994-1998 and Chaired an FDA Advisory Panel for Diagnostic Devices and Radiology until 2007.
Professor Taylor’s primary research relates to advanced methods of diagnosis and treatment of cancer, by immunologic and molecular methods, with emphasis upon standardization and quantification. He has published more than 400 papers plus 20 books. Currently he is Editor in Chief of Applied Immunohistochemistry and Molecular Morphology.
Tricia is the VP of Finance and Administration at OptraSCAN and is responsible for the Accounting, Finance, Human Resources and Administration functions of the company.
Tricia has over 20 years’ experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, business operations, capital raising, and company strategy for start-ups and high growth companies. Most recently she was the Senior Director of Finance and Admin for Eye-Fi, Inc.
Tricia graduated with a BA in Business Administration from California State University, Fullerton and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Prasad is a qualified CPA, CS and CWA, with more than 20 years experience in the IT and Industrial space. His key areas of focus have been Operational Review and Analysis (Project Profitability, Degree of Bench, etc.), Financial Management (Accounts / Audit / Taxation), Legal (STPI, FEMA, etc.), HR, ISO and Secretarial Compliance, thereby contributing to the interests of all stakeholders. He has experience in the Software Field (ITeS), including securing VC Funding, Fiscal Monitoring and Managing Operations of the India Business Unit (Legal, HR, Infrastructure and Admin). He has initiated and successfully implemented the Accounting of Subsidiary Companies on a US-based GAAP (US and India) compliant Package for Seamless Consolidation.
Jennifer is the Director of Marketing at Optra Systems and responsible for management of all marketing functions including marcom, demand generation, branding and partner relations.
Jennifer has 13 years Marketing experience most recently working for life sciences and medical device companies in the Genomics and Digital Pathology sectors, where she managed lead generation and sales efforts, strategic marketing programs and industry marketing events.
Prior to Optra, Jennifer has worked for Illumina, Definiens and Aperio. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, from San Diego State University.
Christopher is the Director of Regulatory & Quality Compliance at OptraSCAN. He is responsible for maintaining the Quality System, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, and obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals for product marketing and distribution.
Christopher has over 15 years of regulatory and quality experience in the medical device industry. Prior to OptraSCAN, he worked for Elekta and IMPAC Medical Systems in the radiotherapy sector.
Mike is the Director of Sales at Optra SCAN and has 25 years of experience selling medical diagnostics and devices. Prior to joining Optra, Mike was a digital pathology sales specialist at GE Healthcare IT/Omnyx.
Mike has worked to serve the needs of pathologists for several years while at Path Logic, Pathology Inc., NeoGenomics, and Quest Diagnostics where he led a successful sales team in the San Francisco bay area.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin.
Anand is an effective leader, strategic thinking professional with over 20 years experience in international business development across diverse domains and technologies. Anand is highly skilled at relationship building with clients across countries and organizations; a team player and good communicator to build strong internal and external relationships and partnerships.
Prior to joining Optra, Anand has extensive experience of working on different domains including life sciences, analytical instrumentation, medical devices, healthcare, engineering, electronics, IT and ITES.
In his 20-year career, Anand has worked in multiple management roles with various organizations like Suessen Asia, Onward Technologies, Kinetic Communications and Bioanalytical Technologies etc.
Anand holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology from University of Nagpur, India.
Dr. Anagha Jadhav is a medical graduate and post graduate in Pathology from well-reputed B.J. Medical College, Pune, India. After gaining extensive experience in Clinical Pathology, and as an academician for over 12 years at Bharati Vidyapeeth University Medical College, Dr. Jadhav forayed into the field of Healthcare IT at her current role at OptraSCAN where she applies domain expertise to innovate hardware and software imaging systems for Digital Pathology. Her dual advantage of medical knowledge as a community physician and researcher, helps her apply research methodology principles for product development, validation and implementation of imaging solutions.
An alumnus of Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Dr. Jadhav has been awarded as M.D. ‘first standing’ in Community Medicine. Dr. Jadhav has presented papers and posters at international conferences, and has several publications to her credit.
Priya has a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering and spent four years as a Scientist at Unilever R &D. Later moving to a customer-facing Application Scientist role at Definiens working on strategic image analysis implementations. Next Priya moved to the leader in Digital Pathology, Aperio / Leica for over six years supporting Product Training and Technical Sales Management.
Chetan is the Head of Delivery at OptraScan and is responsible for building and managing delivery teams & setting-up best practices to deliver quality services. He has over 14 years of comprehensive experience in Management and Planning for complex IT landscapes in different domains like healthcare, energy, payroll and mobile. He is also responsible for growing our capacity, expanding the global delivery network, and achieving greater excellence in delivery management.
Prior to joining Optra he has worked for organizations like GlobalLogic and Landis +Gyr.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Nagpur, India.
Suraj Somwanshi is Head of Technology Solutions Group and is responsible for requirement understanding, analysis, R&D, Technical Support for the product Delivery Group. He is also responsible for building productized solutions for Optra along-with ensuring robust architecture and technology guidance in every solution. He has over 14 years of experience in software analysis, design, development and deployment, along with proven analytical, debugging and problem solving skills.
His core areas of expertise resides in system architecture, analysis and design and he has a vast amount of experience in end-to-end device engineering and product development. Prior to joining Optra, he has worked with organizations like BioImagene, Logitech. He holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Govt. College of Engineering, University of Pune, India.
Gurunath is the Head of Imaging at Optra HEALTH and is responsible for management & development of Imaging and machine learning solutions. He is responsible for building and managing Imaging teams and has over 12 years of experience in implementing imaging solutions. He has been awarded patents for medical imaging algorithms.
Prior to joining Optra he has worked for organizations like BioImagene.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from University of Pune, India and a Master’s degree in Business Administration (IT) from NIBM, India.
Chris Todd brings over 20+ years experience in the biotech and diagnostics industries. Most recently, Chris served as Director of Product Development for Bioimagene where he developed the company's Fluorescent In-Situ Hybridization system(FISH). After acquisition by Ventana as part of the Roche Group, Chris led the development of the industry leading high throughput scanner, iScan HT. Previous experience includes positions in product development with Theranos and Surromed. Chris holds a BSME degree from Georgia Institute of Technology.
Sathish Ram Kumar is Director of Software Systems and is responsible for Development of Software Solutions for the OptraSCAN product line. Sathish has over 20 years of medical device software product development experience.
He has worked for Philips Medical system managing & leading the development of multimodality clinical applications and software interfacing with Nuclear medicine Gamma cameras. His specialties include developing enterprise level (SaaS) software, API and application design.
Prior to OptraSCAN, Sathish worked for Solta and Viewray. He holds a Bachelors in Physics from MK University India, Bachelors of Ttechnology (Applied Engineering ), and a Masters in Engineering (Aerospace Engineering) from Anna University India.
Sean is OptraScan’s Manager of Business Development for the Eastern US\NA and is a 10-year veteran and specialist of digital pathology solutions, bringing to Optra 20+ years of experience in biotech, medical diagnostics, and diagnostic instruments, working with clinicians, researchers, and executives in the Healthcare, Biopharma, and Academia space.
Prior to joining OptraScan, Sean is a multi-recipient of achievement awards, such as Aperio’s Presidents Circle and Leica’s Outstanding Achievement in Sales in Life Sciences, holding similar responsibilities with Aperio, Leica Biosystems Pathology Imaging, and Dako NA. Sean holds a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Tennessee.
Steve has been in Medical Sales for more than 25 years. His experience is varied from capital equipment to pathology reference laboratory sales.
He has had a very successful track record with products that have resulted in disruptive changes in the laboratory. His experience includes being one of the first Sales Representatives for Cytyc Corporation where he was representative of the year in 1997 the first full year the company was cleared for Papanicolaou Testing (PAP) using its proprietary thin layer technology. Steve also was instrumental at Aperio Technologies selling Digital Pathology to many of the top Academic Cancer Centers in the North Eastern United States. Most recently Steve was with Clarient Diagnostics a GE Healthcare Company and was responsible for Pathology Reference Laboratory sales in the NY and Washington DC Metro areas.
Lil began her career over 20 years ago in the medical industry working at a major hospital and left to pursue Sales positions in web-hosting and telecommunications with Yahoo! and WorldCom. Soon after, she combined her medical and technical background to work with a Digital Pathology start-up Aperio, which introduced the “Gen-One” digital pathology platform whole slide scannner. Lil has been the recipient of performance and achievement awards including Aperio’s exclusive President’s Circle Top Performer for Sales. Now with OptraSCAN, Lil brings a unique insight into the next generation of On-Demand Digital Pathology solutions. Lil has a BS in Business and Communications.
As General Counsel, Sandy is chief legal officer overseeing the company’s policies, operations, compliance, employee relations, intellectual property protection and monetization. A primary part of her focus is developing solutions to support OptraSCAN’s business transactions, including contract automation and anticipation of future transactional needs.
Sandy brings more than 16 years of transactional, regulatory and compliance experience. Prior to OptraSCAN, Sandy served as interim counsel for multiple fast growing technology startups in the SF Bay Area. She met the needs of different business models by providing solid advise in tech transactions, intellectual property protection and, privacy compliance. She has international presence and is fluent in Spanish.
As an active member of her community, she served as a Mentor for Leading Women in Technology – Wilpower™ Class of 2015-16 in San Francisco - a non-profit organization dedicated to elevate the next generation of women leaders by helping them accelerate their professional success. She served as VP of Board of Directors and Chair of Legal Affairs for Cass Gidley Marina from 2013 to 2016 - a non-profit Sausalito Community Boating Center aiming to teach boating skills to the underserved. She presently leads a middle school girls’ empowerment workshop at a local school program.
She received a Juris Doctorate degree from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston Massachusetts, is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP-US), and has a Bachelor of Science from University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
